The spectator selects two cards: one for the magician and one for himself. Let's say the cards are the Jack of Clubs and the Eight of Hearts. The spectator signs the Eight of Hearts and then both cards are lost in the deck. The magician turns over the top card of the deck. It is a Five of Clubs. The Five is placed inside the card case and the card case is given a spin. When the magician opens the card case, the Five of Clubs is seen to have transformed into the Jack of Clubs! The magician then snaps his fingers over the deck. With empty hands he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a card... the Jack of Clubs! The card case is opened and a single card is slid out, the signed Eight of Hearts! The card case is otherwise completely empty! - Very easy to do!
